Overview:
We are seeking a skilled IT Field Technician/ Network Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology and a strong desire to provide exceptional service to our clients. As an IT Field Technician, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting various IT systems and equipment on-site at client locations. You will collaborate closely with our clients to ensure their IT infrastructure operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Install, terminate, and test low voltage and fiber optic cabling infrastructure according to industry standards and best practices.
- Perform site surveys and assess cabling requirements to support the deployment of IT systems and equipment.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and implement cabling solutions that meet their specific needs and requirements.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to low voltage and fiber optic cabling, including connectivity issues, signal loss, and cable damage.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cabling installations, including cable routes, termination points, and testing results.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and contractors as needed to support cabling projects and installations.
- Provide technical support and assistance to clients and internal teams on cabling-related issues and projects.
- Stay informed about advancements in cabling technologies and industry standards to ensure our solutions remain current and effective.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an IT Field Technician with a focus on low voltage and fiber optic cabling.
- Strong technical skills in installing, terminating, and testing low voltage and fiber optic cables.
- Experience with cabling infrastructure components, such as patch panels, connectors, and cable management systems.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for low voltage and fiber optic cabling, including ANSI/TIA/EIA and IEEE standards.
- Familiarity with tools and equipment used in cabling installations and testing, such as cable testers, fusion splicers, and OTDRs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Certifications such as BICSI Technician, FOA Certified Fiber Optic Technician, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Pay: $30.00 - $76.00 per hour
Expected hours: 9 – 45 per week
