We are seeking an organized and precise Mailroom Operations Clerk who has the passion to ensure accurate sorting, handling, and delivery of inbound and outbound correspondence. The Mailroom Operations Clerk works to continuously enhance mail operations by practicing efficient and effective processes in accordance with the Laborde Earles Core Values, as this is a vital role to our firm's daily operation. This is an ideal position for a poised, and conscientious individual with specific expertise in ensuring smooth functionality of operational workflows, who would like to join our growing and high performing team. This role requires high adaptability and professionalism to uphold the Laborde Earles standards. A successful candidate for this role will be a highly organized individual committed to structure and process that guarantees precision for our mailroom and non-legal operations.
- Accountable for processing incoming and outgoing mail.
- Pick up, sort, scan, and deliver all incoming mail to appropriate recipients

Maintain confidentiality of all mail

Communicate any issues that may arise from processing mail to staff and the Operations Director

Report errors in folder and/or email buttons to proper vendor

File hard copies of mail in the correct employee folders

Maintain postage account and mail supply inventory
- Accountable for providing general office support.

Administer file closing process for the firm
-
Assist with ordering and maintaining legal books

Run errands as needed for the firm
-
Assist with purchasing office supplies from vendors as needed for restrooms, copy rooms, offices, and other general areas of the firm

Assist with tracking inventory of coffee supplies, drinks, snacks, etc. and purchases for all locations based on the approved purchase list

Act as backup and provide support to the Operations Team Lead as necessary

Act as backup to the Ambassador of First Impressions as necessary
-
Additional projects as assigned by Operations Team Lead or a member of the Leadership Team
- Accountable for maintaining copy room cleanliness and organization.

Prepare and organize disbursal bags

Assist with ordering marketing collateral from vendors as requested from the Marketing Director

Assist with maintaining the organization of the Marketing closet

Assist with keeping a neat and organized inventory of all office supply items and have them stocked appropriately in all Lafayette copy rooms (organize each copy room the same) including copy paper and toner for all printers

Assist with preparing items for donation and keeping them organized

Preferred Education & Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements:
