GENERAL / DEFINITION:
The Innovacyn Operations Support team member is responsible for assisting and performing manufacturing operations for Class I Medical Devices used for human and animal health purposes ensuring that our products are on the highest quality and safety to ensure that we meet and exceed customers expectations and meet all regulations. As part of duties, must comply with general safety rules, guidelines, and operating procedures as set by Innovacyn. Must treat people with respect, work ethically, with integrity, accept responsibility for own actions and uphold organization vision, values and objectives. Must work well with others and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Packing Operations
a. Pulling materials from warehouse, storage areas as required for production (boxes, tape stretch wrap, pallets, etc.).
b. Fold and tape boxes per standard operating procedures.
c. Load boxes with Innovacyn products as they come out of the labeling production line per
standard operating procedures.
d. Perform inspections of product as it is placed in boxes to verifying lot and expiration date on
the labels to be correct and clearly legible per information on the labeling room board and
the batch record.
e. Tape boxes shut once properly filled/loaded with product containers ensuring that no bottles
are missing from the box.
f. Place designated labels on boxes for proper identification; verify that label has proper label
with lot number and expiration date per standard operating procedures.
g. Make sure labels are straight and properly placed on the bottle per specifications (straight,
in middle of bottle, no wrinkle, no rip, no labels, no peeled corners, no smeared numbers or
not clearly legible)
h. Perform bottle counts, box counts and reconciliations.
i. Perform bottle weight verifications per standard operating procedures batch record.
j. Load labels onto labeling machine; set stamper on labeling machine.
k. Use pallet jack or forklift to move finished good, as well as materials from the warehouse.
l. Perform housekeeping duties such as preparation of room by sweeping, dusting, trash,
organizing material or order of such.
m.Load boxes or pallets of finished good into designated quarantine area per standard
operating procedures.
n Stretch wrap pallets of finished good as required to make pallet stable and safe.
o. Know the location of emergency stop for labeling machinery being used in the labeling
operation.
p. Review and sign batch record per standard operating procedure.
q. Assist with completion of batch record as may be required.
r. Must be able to read scales and verify that product is within weight specifications per
standard operating procedures and batch record.
2. Bottling Operations
a. Pull raw materials from storage cage per designated pull sheets using forklift, pallet jack or
high-reach stairs.
b. Stage raw materials for production loading to include subassembly totes and gel drums.
c. Remove raw materials (bottles, sprayers, triggers or caps) from cardboard boxes and place into prep room for sanitation.
d. Comply with gowning procedures per standard operating procedures.
e. Complete sanitation worksheet on all products pulled and loaded into room for sanitation.
f. Perform sanitation of raw materials (bottles, triggers, sprayers, caps, subassembly totes and gel drums) per standard operating procedures.
g. Place bottles for filling into descrambling machine or on conveyor belt based on set up
to maintain production line running.
h. Assist with set up or perform set up of filling machine per standard operating procedures.
i. Assist with or perform line flushes per standard operating procedures.
j. Assist with or perform weight checks of product being filled per standard operating procedures.
k. Assist with or perform placing of caps, triggers or sprayer pumps as filled product comes out of the machine.
l. Dump into reject bin any bottles, triggers, caps that fall on the ground as part of the bottling operation.
m. Assist with or perform general housekeeping of the bottling room as bottling operations are taking place.
n. Ensure that all containers of water and/or Vetericyn and/or Puracyn used for line flushes are clearly identified with specific lot number for the batch record that is being made at the time.
o. It is not acceptable to have unlabeled containers or products from the previous production rooms in the filling room.
p. Perform line clearances by removing all products (bottles, sprayers, caps) after the
production run is complete and returning these products back to the preparation room and
properly identifying with lot number and quantities for placement back into inventory per
standard operating procedures.
q. Perform all functions with safety in mind at all times, such as: lifting, carrying, preventing slip and falls, always wearing good gloves, frequently sanitizing gloves, complying with lockout, caution with trip and falls, use of razor knife, tap dispensers, dolly’s, pallet jacks, forklift, etc.
r. Know the location of emergency stops for specific machinery being used in the bottling
operation (descrambler, filling machine, capping machine).
s. Review and sign batch record per standard operating procedure.
t. Assist with completion of batch record as may be required.
u. Must be able to read scales and verify that product is within weight specifications per
standard operating procedures and batch record.
3. Cleaning of the Clean Room
a. Read and understand Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning of the clean room.
b. Receive practical training and demonstrate competency for performing all cleaning
activities.
c. Ensure appropriate cleaning chemicals are used and is familiar with the corresponding
Material Safety Data Sheets.
d. Report to supervisor, immediately, any concerns pertaining to lot numbers, safety,
inaccuracies, problems with machinery or dangerous conditions, so they may be corrected
or addressed.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Must maintain flexibility and be able to work overtime and different work schedules to include weekends.
· Must comply with all guidelines of FDA Section 820 as per training received in Innovacyn.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
