BETAH Associates is a professional services firm seeking a Project Manager (Health Projects) to lead a project team at federal health agency.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Strategy:
Develop comprehensive project plans outlining goals, timelines, resources, and deliverables.
Define project scope, objectives, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
Team Leadership:
Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
Assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor team progress to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
Stakeholder Management:
Engage with stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and healthcare providers, to ensure project alignment and support.
Facilitate regular meetings and updates with stakeholders to provide project status and address any concerns.
Budget and Resource Management:
Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Monitor expenditures and provide regular financial reports to senior management.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and address risks and issues as they arise to minimize project disruptions.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and align with agency guidelines.
Implement quality control measures to maintain high standards of project execution.
Communication and Reporting:
Prepare and deliver regular project updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders and senior management.
Maintain clear and organized documentation of all project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
Program Implementation:
Oversee the implementation of health campaigns, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
Coordinate with internal and external teams to execute campaign activities effectively.
Evaluation and Improvement:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of health campaigns, using data to inform continuous improvement.
Conduct post-project evaluations to assess outcomes and identify lessons learned for future initiatives.
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
Ensure all project activities comply with federal regulations and agency guidelines.
Stay updated on relevant laws and best practices to ensure project adherence to regulatory requirements.
Innovation and Best Practices:
Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in health communication and project management.
Integrate innovative approaches and technologies to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
Training and Development:
Provide training and guidance to team members on project management processes and best practices.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the project team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor?s degree in Public Health, Health Communication, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field (Master?s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on health campaigns or public health initiatives.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale health communication projects for government agencies or similar organizations.
- Strong project management skills with experience in all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Trello).
- In-depth knowledge of health communication strategies and best practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing health campaigns aimed at diverse populations, particularly underserved communities.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Experience in managing remote and on-site teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in developing and managing project budgets.
- Ability to allocate resources efficiently and effectively to meet project objectives.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government officials, community organizations, and healthcare providers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate stakeholder engagement and collaboration.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) or other relevant certifications (preferred).
