We are looking for a professional Tax Manager and Operations Manager to assist in leading our team and working directly with clients. The specific duties include; review of corporate, personal, partnership, and trust tax returns. Pushing the business forward and ensuring we are achieving all directives. Improving internal and external processes. Management of staff at all levels and being part of the strategic development team. You will be communicating with employees to provide feedback on their work product, manage their objectives and performances. You will also be communicating with clients to review their financials, provide tax planning, resolve outstanding items, and assisting in any other areas requested.
You should be ready to mentor your team members, find ways to increase quality of customer service and implement best practices across all levels. Ultimately, we’ll trust you to help us remain compliant, efficient and profitable during the course of business.
You will be integral in the continued strategic growth of the firm, including; software implementation, internal procedures, client interaction procedures, and other strategic growth areas.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure all operations are carried on in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices
- Formulate strategic and operational objectives
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs
- Find ways to increase quality of customer service
Necessary Skills
- Proven work experience as a tax preparer and consultant with respect to small or medium sized businesses.
- Proven work experience in a management setting.
- Expertise in computer technology and paperless environments
- Expertise in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online
- Expertise in Thompson Reuters UltraTax Software, Excel, and other necessary computer programs
- Knowledge of organizational effectiveness and operations management
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and build effective reports
- Excellent communication skills
- Prior leadership/management experience
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Degree in Accounting or other relevant area
