HYDAC a leading manufacturer in the fluid power industry is seeking to fill a Facilities Manager position for our Glendale Heights and our new location in Schaumburg. It is the primary responsibility of the Facilities Manager to support the relocation to our new facility. The facilities manager oversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all five facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff. The candidate would be responsible for performing the following duties:
Requirements:
- Develop and implement a facility management program including PMs and life-cycle requirements

Oversees building maintenance including renovations

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes

Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities

Supervise maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment.

Plan and manage facility central services such as reception, security, cleaning, waste disposal, and parking

Manage contractor and vendor relationships.

Coordinate and monitor activities of contract suppliers. Manage and review service contracts to ensure facility management needs are being met. Ensure delivery schedules, quantity and quality criteria are met. Check completed work by contractors and vendors

Update and maintain any existing Maintenance software.

Leadership and Team Management

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

Blueprint interpretation.

Familiar with computer-based systems operation.

Knowledge of APQP, manufacturing, and quality processes and capabilities.

Ability to write reports correspondence and procedure manuals.

Self-Starter and Motivator: Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers.

Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, procurement and contracts, and sound knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Experience in manufacturing, maintenance and all facets of facility operation required. Supervisory experience required.
Education and Experience:

Bachelors degree in Facilities Management, Facilities Engineering or related qualification such as project management, business management or construction management preferred.
