Job Overview:
We are seeking a Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in child protective services, family law, crisis intervention, social work, childcare, behavioral health, conflict management, child welfare, crisis management, and working with children.
Duties:
- Provide support and assistance to individuals and families in crisis situations
- Conduct assessments to determine needs and develop appropriate intervention plans
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
- Advocate for clients within the legal and social service systems
- Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and documentation
- Assist in the coordination of services and resources for clients
- Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation when necessary
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field preferred
- Experience working with children in crisis situations
- Strong understanding of child welfare laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress environments
- Knowledge of community resources and services for families in need
