Overview:
The Professional Development Coordinator is a key member of the PD team. The position supports Milbank’s cutting-edge associate development initiatives, notably Deals@Milbank, and other learning initiatives for lawyers.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to and working closely with the Manager of Professional Development, the primary responsibilities include:

Supporting all aspects of the planning and execution of the firm’s continuing legal education (CLE) programming, transactional rotation program programming, and the firm’s Deals@Milbank training.

Accrediting NY and CA CLE courses, maintaining CLE course files in the firm’s tracking system, viLMS.

Coordinating all aspects of transactional rotational and practice group training programs, including drafting invitations, attendance tracking, CLE accreditation, distributing materials, booking conference rooms, and arranging technical needs and catering.

Processing CLE credit for internal and client programs in our CLE tracking system.

Contributing to the Professional Development Monthly Update (department newsletter).

Planning logistics of the Deals@Milbank drafting workshop, including hotel accommodation and social events, which involves liaising with internal departments and outside vendors.

Attending meetings such as associate focus groups, compiling, and analyzing feedback, and recommending improvements as needed.

Maintaining accuracy and organization of online program files.

As schedule permits, assisting with other major firm training programs i.e. planning summer associate training, New Associate Orientation or Milbank@Harvard.
Pay $60K-$75KDOE
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree.

Experience with continuing professional education in a professional services context.

Strongly preferred: 2-4 years’ experience working in a professional services environment.

Strong computer skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

Knowledge of viDesktop tracking system a major plus NY and CA CLE experience strongly preferred.

Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills in order to effectively interact with attorneys and vendors.
