Job Summary
The Quality Control and Training Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes and developing training programs for our commercial refrigeration field technicians. This role ensures that all installations and services meet our rigorous quality standards and that our team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Control:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and procedures for all commercial refrigeration installation and service activities.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of installations and services to ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Identify and document any quality issues or defects, and work with relevant teams to resolve them.
- Analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports on quality performance and present findings to management.
Training:
- Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing refrigeration technicians, focusing on installation techniques, safety procedures, and company standards.
- Create training materials, manuals, and documentation to support the training programs.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions and workshops to reinforce learning and ensure practical application of skills.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments and feedback, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to incorporate into training programs.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the installation teams and program managers teams to ensure alignment on quality and training objectives.
- Provide guidance and support to technicians in the field, addressing any questions or concerns related to quality and training.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure their expectations are met and exceeded.
- Act as a liaison between field personnel and our corporate office.
- Perform quality and training surveys and audits of job sites.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction quality control and training, preferably within the commercial refrigeration or HVAC industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate a diverse team.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using quality control and training software and tools, including MS Office Suite.
- MUST be available for out of town and overnight travel and must be able to work out of town while completing projects and work assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of construction experience
- Certification in quality control or related field is a plus.
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems and components.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
