We have partnered with a tech-forward property management company with a focus on co-ops and condos in upper Manhattan, who is looking to bring on an Assistant Property Manager looking to grow and work within a collaborative environment. In this role, the Assistant Property Manager will support 2-3 Property Managers and 850 units, handling communication with boards and stakeholders, project work and some field operations. The ideal candidate is a self starter, with a passion for technology and providing exceptional customer service to the population they service.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with responding to resident and unit owner inquiries, concerns and requests promptly and professionally.
- Organize and participate in monthly/quarterly and annual board meetings.
- Coordinate maintenance staff to address and resolve maintenance issues.
- Assist Property Manager with any on-site projects and emergencies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date property records and files.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of property budgets.
- Generate financial reports and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Partner with maintenance and operations to implement and monitor safety programs and emergency preparedness plans.
- Participate in regular property inspections.
- Work closely with Property Managers and other team members to achieve property goals.
- Attend and contribute to team meetings and trainings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Property Management in residential real estate, co-op/condo experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal housing regulations.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong conflict management skills to resolve tenant disputes effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
