Job Description
DLI is seeking a talented and motivated electrical engineer to join our growing team. The electrical engineer will assist in the design of electrical power, lighting, alarm, telecommunications and control systems. REVIT drafting and design (3D), code research, calculations and equipment selection is required.
This position is in Norwich, Connecticut and is full-time. Norwich is a beautiful historic town in New London County, Connecticut with easy access to the shore, two hours from Boston, and three hours from New York City.

· Knowledge, application and specification of electrical power, lighting, alarm, telecommunications and control systems
· Interaction with vendors and manufacturers to select electrical products, service gear and transformers
· Calculation of electrical loads, short circuit faults, lighting requirements, fire alarm calculations and other engineering
· Control diagrams and lighting photometric studies
· REVIT and other CAD program design development
· Implementation of Code requirements
· Reviews of submittals and shop drawings from contractors to verify conformance to drawings
· Occasional site visit participation
· B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering
· Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
· Strong work ethic and ability to work to deadlines
· Excellent ability to document information accurately, immediately and concisely
· Exceptional phone and meeting skills
· Strong communication, organization and computer skills
· FE certification or PE registration
· 5 years engineering and design experience in electrical, lighting, alarm and related building systems
· 3 years REVIT experience
· Experience with CSI format specifications
· Experience with NEC standards, IBC, NFPA Codes

$75,000-$85,000 (Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with skill level and experience)
