Mechanical Project Engineer
AP Dynamics is seeking a motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join the Houston, TX team. As the Principal Engineer/Senior Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the following:
Responsibilities:
- Participate in the definition of the department objectives and be accountable for the performances to objectives.
- Manage and develop existing and prospective client relationships.
- Identify and validate business prospects and opportunities.
- Develop project proposals and estimates.
- Participate at industry trade shows and conferences.
- Performs mechanical engineering on rotating equipment packages.
- Perform stress analysis on piping and pipeline.
- Develop methodologies required for the analysis and studies of the project.
- Develop the project plans and coordinate the efforts of other analyst/engineer to support cross-functional collaboration.
- Manage projects including client follow-up, scope of work, quality, technical reviews, deliverables, schedule and deadlines, budget.
- Perform and/ or delegate analysis and studies of the project.
- Supervise and review the work of the project team members and provide support, if required to meet project objectives.
- Train and coach analyst/engineer as required.
- Participate actively in technical committee (ASME, API, etc.)
- Participate in and/ or lead candidate sourcing and recruitment interview.
- Participate in compensation management of the team.
- Present project analysis results internally for validation and to the client.
- Act as first point of contact for the client on assigned projects.
- Demonstrate effective client engagement, problem solving, effective communication, passion, and excellent technical knowledge within the team and on site.
- Produce timely and detailed technical reports complying with professional standards.
- Applies codes and standards criteria in the preparation of design recommendations.
- Adheres to AP Dynamics and client policies and standards.
- Work effectively as a multi-disciplinary project team lead.
- Maintaining professional engineer (PE) status.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements :
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering.
- Experience with Autopipe or Caesar.
- Registered in the USA as a Professional Engineer.
- Minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in oil & gas.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with stress analysis.
- Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, API 579, and API 618 standards.
- Proficient in standard Windows software.
- Experience with project and team management.
- Experience in technical supervision.
- Experience in technical supervision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, and Self-motivated to further engineering skills and knowledge.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $125,000.00 - $155,000.00 per year
