This position ensures that staff and patrons are able to promptly find various library materials by placing returned books, audiovisual materials, magazines and newspapers in the correct location on the proper shelf.
Schedule
10 hours per week, starting on or around August 13, 2024. The tentative schedule is Mondays 4:15-9:15pm and Saturdays 12:15-5:15pm, with the opportunity for additional shifts.

Requires knowledge and ability to sort efficiently in alphabetic or numeric order.

Ability to understand and perform routine library procedures.

Ability to develop a working understanding of the Dewey Decimal and other systems of library arrangement.

Ability to work flexible hours weekends and evenings.

Work is performed mostly in a Library setting; hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
