Hours: Full-time: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.
Position Description:
Maas Energy Works (MEW) seeks an experienced Process Engineer to design and manage the process and system design of a new biogas upgrading skid. This skid will handle biogas compression, chilling, CO2 removal, gas analysis, measurement, and upgrading to biomethane for natural gas pipelines or compressed trailers. The Process Engineer will collaborate with product managers, vendors, the fabrication team, and other stakeholders to develop the skid's process and system design. Additionally, the engineer will provide support for assembly, commissioning, and operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing industrial gas handling equipment, a strong understanding of system optimization, and the ability to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, and maximize profitability.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, configure, and optimize industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification.
- Produce design deliverables such as P&ID’s and piping isometrics for equipment and facilities.
- Run hydraulic and process simulations.
- Develop best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output.
- Manage cost and time constraints.
- Perform risk assessments.
- Provide process documentation and operating instructions.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Proven work experience in process engineering (preferably oil & gas or renewable fuels).
- Excellent technical skills.
- Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and NFPA.
- Experience in process simulations.
- Working knowledge of process engineering software packages.
- CAD experience, especially in the AutoDesk suite (i.e. Plant 3D).
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
- Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills.
