PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The primary responsibility of the server is wowing our guests by providing excellent service and hospitality. Whether guests are celebrating a special occasion or just spending time with family and friends, our servers go the extra mile to make it memorable. You will help with menu selections, quickly refill beverages, and ensure food arrives on time, always delivering warm and friendly interactions.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome guests with a warm and relevant greeting, utilize your knowledge of the menu, guest preference, service, and selling techniques to guide selections.
- Knowledgeable of all menu and beverage items, prices, preparation method and time, major ingredients, and quality standards of taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, portion size, garnish, and method of presentation.
- Maintain table cleanliness and utilize a silent service approach.
- General cleaning and side work duties.
- Itemize bills correctly and efficiently secure payment.
- Anticipate the guests’ needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
- Work as a team, assist guest and employee needs.
- Successful completion of training and testing is required.
- Great attention to detail.
- Perform other job-related duties as requested.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledgeable of selling techniques and delivery of all food and beverage menu items.
- Knowledgeable of allergy concerns.
- Highly motivated and energetic personality
- Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
- Practice Sanitation and Safety principles while in the kitchen and restaurant, including Health Code compliance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Minimum of 2 years prior service experience.
PREFERRED:
- Four (4) years of experience working in a similar fast-paced restaurant setting.
- Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary.
- Knowledge of safety, sanitation, and accident prevention principles.
- Thorough knowledge of the Micros Point-of-Sale system.
