Major Broadway theatre owner-operator is seeking a Purchaser to join our new food and beverage team.
The Purchaser is responsible for the management and support of daily food & beverage purchasing and receiving operations as well as the implementation and execution of related systems which includes order processing (food and non-food), the creation and distribution of daily purchase orders and inventory control. Reports to the Customer Experience Manager.
You will be joining a high-energy, detail focused team that plays a central role in keeping one of our five theatres (the St. James, the Al Hirschfeld, the August Wilson, the Eugene O’Neill, the Walter Kerr) and the attractions playing there running safely and smoothly. You will work inside a collaborative, respectful, and driven company that's focused on providing the best experience for theatregoers and theatre-makers on Broadway.
Job Skills
- Ability to lift/carry up to 40 lbs.
- Basic computer skills are essential with an emphasis on Microsoft Suite and POS comprehension
- Minimum 1 to 2 years’ experience in a retail store/warehouse, bulk purchasing, concessions, or grocery store experience required
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- Willing and able to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Bartending or alcohol ordering experience helpful
