Hotel Sales Manager – Running Aces Hotel
Running Aces Casino. Hotel. Racetrack in the Columbus/Forest Lake MN area is seeking an outgoing, highly motivated Hotel Sales Manager. The ideal candidate will have experience within the hotel industry or outside venue and have a passion for sales!
What you will be doing:
As the Sales Manager, you are responsible for representing the company to customers, the public and other external sources. This position is responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities in our market. Some essential job duties include listening to customer needs, analyzing information and creating tailored proposals. Negotiating and closing sales while meeting/exceeding sales targets. Impress customers with tailored proposals, quality, and timely service in a pleasant and friendly manner.
Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Being a representative of the Running Aces Hotel when out at client sites, at community events and networking.
- Research, Identify, Develop and implement strategic and tactical plans to maintain the current base and increase the hotels share in corporate and transient market.
- Negotiate and close sales.
- Account management
- Conduct site inspections
- Build strong relationship with casino Marketing department.
- Administration of required sales reports
Skills and Abilities:
- Possess knowledge of hospitality, business and basic accounting principles and practices.
- Effective listening, verbal, written, negotiation and closing skills.
- Ability to assess customer needs, understand market dynamics and prepare presentations/proposals tailored for individual customers.
- Ability to achieve customer satisfaction.
- Strong professionalism, diplomacy, selling skills and work habits.
- Ability to remain positive, resourceful and improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.
- Ability to compile facts and figures, analyze information and arrive at logical conclusions and sound business decisions.
- Must comply with the legal requirements of employment within the jurisdiction.
Qualifications:
- Two or four-year college degree preferred; additional/advanced degree coursework in business administration and marketing.
- Two or more years of sales-related experience.
- Comparable hotel size and scope experience preferred.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred.
- Proven track record of successes in achieving revenue objectives.
- Ability to travel locally.
