Special Education Student Support Program Teacher Grades 7-8Lynnfield Middle SchoolRequired Qualifications: Moderate disabilities and/or severe special needs certification is requiredSEI EndorsementExcellent written and oral communication skills Responsibilities and Qualifications: Provide direct academic and social/emotional instructionExperience coordinating a team of paraprofessionals working with students throughout the school settingCollaborate with general education teachers, speech and language pathologists, occupational therapists, district BCBA, direct providers, and other special educatorsResponsible for following the student IEP and ensuring compliance with state and federal SPED regulations, including the delivery of high-quality services, and the provision of accommodations/modifications for instruction and assessmentExperience developing/modifying social, emotional, academic curriculum, and behavioral programs for a wide variety of learning profilesExperience with analyzing and interpreting standardized testing resultsExperience with data collection and progress monitoring toolsExperience with co-teaching and inclusion supportExperience with effective parent/guardian communicationIndividuals possessing BCBA certification are also encouraged to applyExperience working with students with autism, social/emotional diagnoses, and behavioral challenges is strongly preferredExperience with social and emotional curriculum is also preferredPerformance of other job-related duties as assigned
