Business Development Manager
Hughes Tank is a leading company in the steel storage tank fabrication industry, currently undergoing significant growth. We are seeking a motivated Inside Business Development Manager professional to expand our client base and drive revenue. This role will focus on prospecting and selling to new external customers using inside sales techniques, supporting our overall growth and profitability objectives. The position will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring seamless onboarding of new clients. This role will report to the sales manager. We are searching for someone with a hunter mentality and is proactive at attaining leads and new business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively develop a portfolio of new clients through outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach.
- Identify and cultivate prospects using market research, existing networks, and client referrals.
- Respond promptly to pricing requests from prospects and customers.
- Ensure thorough onboarding of new customers according to company procedures.
- Foster strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address customer needs efficiently.
- Handle all aspects of business development including CRM management, RFP pricing, and customer communications.
- Utilize ZOHO CRM to track and monitor sales pipeline progress.
- Prepare presentations and proposals as needed.
- Communicate customer issues and requests to management promptly.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong sales acumen with a proactive, "hunter" mentality.
- Ability to solve problems effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Customer-focused mindset with exceptional organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and contribute to company growth.
Additional Information:
- This role will report directly to the Sales Manager.

Pay: $68,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
