General Responsibilities:
- Detecting individuals involved in fraudulent or dishonest activities among associates, vendors, and third parties.
- Identifying, reporting, and conducting thorough investigations into allegations of internal theft, preparing necessary evidence and documentation.
- Conducting regular loss prevention audits and security assessments to ensure compliance and security.
- Actively identifying potential sources of shrinkage and collaborating on developing preventive solutions.
- Preparing detailed and timely reports on security incidents and loss prevention activities.
- Responding effectively to security incidents and assisting in crisis management.
- Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all investigative details and sensitive information.
- Monitoring premises using CCTV and physical surveillance to prevent theft and ensure security.
- Collaborating with management to achieve loss prevention goals and increase security awareness
- Conducting investigations and interviews related to inventory discrepancies, products loss, and policy violations.
- Upholding security standards and ensuring adherence to all company policies.
- Collaborating with the Inventory Department and Stocking Department on a semi-annual inventory counts and developing shortage reduction strategies.
Other Key Functions:
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize asset protection and minimize losses.
- Provide support and guidance in the set-up and maintenance of security systems and equipment.
- Stay alert and proactive in identifying security risks and implementing preventative measures.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
- Assess potential risks to the organization's assets, employees, and operations and develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement risk management strategies and monitor their effectiveness.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory changes that may impact the organization's risk profile.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Serve as a point of contact during emergencies, coordinating communication and response efforts as needed.
Facility Security Patrol:
- Patrol all interior areas of the facility, including hallways, offices, storage areas, and common spaces, to ensure there are no intruders or unauthorized individuals present.
- Conduct thorough inspections of the building's perimeter to identify any potential security breaches, vulnerabilities, or signs of unauthorized access.
- Monitor all entry points, including dock doors, and main doors to confirm they are secured.
- Ensure that all external emergency exits are securely locked from the outside to prevent unauthorized entry while ensuring that they can be easily accessed from the inside in case of an emergency.
- Conduct regular checks of all security equipment, including locks, alarms, and surveillance systems, to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Maintain a log of all patrol activities, noting any irregularities or incidents encountered during the patrols.
