Responsibilities:
As a Relocation Manager, you will play a crucial role in facilitating a seamless relocation experience for our residents during a large construction and renovation project. Reporting to the Area Manager, you will serve as the liaison between residents, construction crews, packers, movers, and various contractors. The project will take place at our Lion Creek Phase 1 and 2, 200+ unit, affordable housing community in Oakland, California.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A RELOCATION MANAGER

Along with stakeholders, responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive plan for temporary housing residents (on-site or off-site)

Conduct introductory apartment inspections to ensure all residents are familiar with renovation/move timeline, have packing materials, comprehend the move process, etc.

The ability to independently locate local resources (hotels, short term labor, movers, packing materials).

Interface and coordinate daily with construction crews, movers, packers, property manager, and regional management staff.

Interfaces weekly with ownership, regional leaders, relocation consultant and construction superintendents.

Review and oversee relocation budgets, process invoices and work closely with project accountant to ensure invoices are processed and paid timely

Oversee and/or collaborate with movers, project management staff and exterior partners to keep the project on schedule and on budget

Serves as the “face” of renovation and professionally handle inquiries/concerns/complaints from residents, community partners and elected officials

Coordinates with management and construction on the preparation and distribution of resident notices, memos, and other resident communication

Establish priorities for the renovations and make recommendations for physical improvements to owners as identified

Provides quality control and punch list services prior to resident move-in

$85000 - $95000 / yearly

with an annual bonus that is tied to performace
Qualifications:

Familiarity with affordable housing regulation and fair housing compliance.

Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required for data entry and file management.

You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with residents and foster a sense of community.

You have a flexible schedule and can work nontraditional hours as needed depending on project needs.
