Process Engineer

We are looking for a Process engineering to provide process and technical support to the company and its customers through the development and/or enhancement of programs, products and processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop & implement necessary procedures and processes to support the manufacturing of products at Kalas. Provide training when required to all Kalas associates on procedures, processes, and equipment to ensure product quality and the safe operation of equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and process troubleshooting in the manufacturing plants. Provide technical solutions to processing problems that affect the quality of the product or output of the process.
- Lead and coordinate projects and related activities to improve quality and/or reduce waste in the manufacturing process.
- Provide input to define the necessary tooling and routing steps required to manufacture products at Kalas.
- Provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and processing support to our customers as needed.
- Assist in the development, design and processing of new products as required. Plan and execute sample runs on the manufacturing floor and provide feedback.
- Support the Continuous Improvement Program(s) and Suggestion program. Support other departments with technical solutions as requested. Serve as member on ad hoc project teams and quality investigation teams as required.
- Lead and coordinate process support & improvement activities between shifts utilizing and direct supervisors, off-shift support, and manufacturing associates to ensure continuity of improvement initiatives and two-way communication.
- Stay current with latest methods, trends and technologies affecting wire and cable manufacturing.
- Develop justification documentation for capital equipment purchases.
- Alternate hours and shift coverage may be required on a temporary basis, as related to production projects, trials, or travel (<5%).
Skills/Experience
- Minimum two years working in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum two years work experience providing process support and training.
- Analytical thinker.
- Effective Interpersonal Communication skills.
- BS degree in Engineering.
