RESIDENTIAL PROJECT MANAGER

Position Description:
The Residential Project Manager participates in all aspects of photovoltaic system preparation, management and commissioning of residential PV systems, EV charger installations and miscellaneous electrical work. This position is primarily responsible for the customer’s experience with PSS throughout the installation process.
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7am - 5pm. Must monitor inbox and respond to urgent emails on Friday.
Remote Work: Not applicable
Compensation: Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 DOE

Immediate Supervisor: Operations Manager
Major areas of responsibility include but are not limited to:
● Manage projects post-sale through completion
● Oversee installation personnel on contracted work to maintain efficiency, safety and quality
● Interface with customers and stakeholders on project preparation, status updates, schedule etc
● Coordinate with local jurisdictions, utilities and building officials to get projects approved and energized
● Assist in commissioning and troubleshooting of installations and turn over projects to owners once complete
● Research and implement best practices and new products
● Safety and best practices training
Specific Responsibilities of the Job:
Manage projects post-sale through completion
● Adhere to designs and equipment specifications to prepare for installation by PSS installers and electricians
● Conduct pre-construction site visits to verify installation details, schedule, equipment layout and locations, electrical infrastructure, etc.
● Assist with the preparation of electrical line diagrams, site plans, and other documents as necessary
● Report job status to team and customer as needed
● Process and submit change orders to the owner when required. May need to coordinate with the sales person.
● Track project progress from sale through completion by maintaining and updating database milestones and internal company records

Oversee installation personnel on contracted work to maintain efficiency, safety and quality
● Meet installation crew on site for the job start to review project details, and introduce crew to the owner/owner representative when possible
● Ensure installation crew adheres to industry fall protection standards and company safety programs
● Teach crew on best practices for efficiency, safety, and quality.
Interface with owners and stakeholders on project preparation, status updates, schedule etc
● Contact project owner or owner representative post sale and remain point of contact throughout project
● Meet owner for pre-construction walkthrough and prepare them for the installation process
● Schedule with the owner on the crew arrival window, dates of installation, delays, etc.
● Address project challenges, schedule and timeline and owner concerns to ensure a smooth installation
Job Requirements
● Extensive construction experience. Direct PV experience preferred. NABCEP Certified preferred.
● Demonstrated proficiency and knowledge of workplace safety, fall protection, and OSHA safety standards
● Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with very strong organizational skills
● Demonstrated ability to manage crew members, motivate and address performance issues
● Ability to work on rooftops, ladders, attics, crawlspaces and confined spaces safely
● Proficiency with Office 365 and Google software suites
● Ability to manage multiple relationships with customers and communicate in a professional manner
● Highly motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
● Valid WA state driver's license and clean driving record
● Desire to learn and grow in a rapidly developing industry
