We are seeking a skilled and experienced Single Tier Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical support, particularly within a federal agency environment. As a Single Tier Technician, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving issues efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Install, configure, and update software and hardware components.
- Document technical issues and resolutions in a ticketing system.
- Collaborate with team members to address complex technical problems.
- Ensure compliance with federal agency security protocols and guidelines.
- Conduct routine maintenance and updates to ensure system reliability.
- Assist in the development and implementation of technical procedures and best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a technician, preferably in a federal agency or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Familiarity with federal agency security protocols and compliance requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.
- U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal agency regulations.
- MUST have experience in Tiers 1,2 and 3. Preferably Tier 4 as well
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
