Position Summary
The Director of Social Media and Email Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing integrated social media and email marketing strategies that drive engagement, high quality inquiries and growth. This role requires a hands-on leader with a strong background in both disciplines, who can manage day-to-day operations while also strategizing for long-term success.
Job Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Create and implement comprehensive social media and email marketing strategies that align with overall business goals and drive engagement and conversions while hitting school KPI’s.
- Hands-On Execution: Actively participate in the creation, scheduling, and publishing of content across social media platforms and email campaigns. Ensure all content is on-brand, is compliant and optimized for maximum reach and engagement.
- Content Management: Collaborate with the creative team to oversee the creation and curation of compelling content for social media and email, including copywriting, design, and multimedia elements. Ensure content is tailored to the target audience and adheres to platform-specific best practices.
- Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and analyze social media and email marketing campaigns. Utilize data-driven insights to continuously optimize campaign performance, school quality and ROI.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the paid social and email budgets and forecasts to achieve maximum ROI.
- Analytics and Reporting: Regularly monitor, analyze, and report on key performance metrics for social media and email marketing. Use insights to inform strategy adjustments and improve overall effectiveness.
- Email Marketing Channel Establishment: Create and launch a complete email marketing platform from the ground up. Formulate plans for segmenting audiences, growing subscriber lists, automating processes, and crafting personalized email campaigns to boost interaction and conversions.
- Community Engagement: Engage with online communities across social media platforms. Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, creative services, technology, client services and media.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, platform updates, and emerging technologies. Apply this knowledge to keep strategies innovative and effective.'Travel: Willingness to travel up to 10%.
Required Skills
- Experience: Proven experience (5+ years) in social media and email marketing.
- Campaign Success: Demonstrated success in creating and executing successful social media and email marketing campaigns.
- Data Analytics: Candidates should demonstrate expertise in data analytics to derive actionable insights and inform decision-making processes.
- Platform Proficiency: Strong understanding of social media platforms, email marketing tools, and analytics software.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Content Creation: Hands-on experience with content creation and campaign management.
- Tool Proficiency: Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot).
- Problem-solving and Analytical Skills: Candidates should possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with an energetic and progressive approach focused on continual improvement.
- Financial Accountability: Strong P&L accountability is required to manage ROI, budgeting, forecasting, and go-forward decisions.
