What You’ll Do
The Directors Guild of America has an opening for a Communications/Special Projects Assistant. This position will provide administrative support to the Communications, Awards and Special Projects departments, including answering phones, scheduling, and virtual and in-person event and meeting support. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Initial point of contact for the Communications & Special Projects departments

Heavy phone & email correspondence – monitor departmental phone lines and email inboxes

Responsible for member-facing web tech support, including troubleshooting and explaining website log-in and registration procedures

Provide event support for departments in the form of monitoring RSVPs, facilitating Zooms, handling correspondence/questions, and other duties

Assist with updates to DGA.org website content, as well as drafting and sending html-formatted e-mail blast communications

Assist Awards department as needed during awards season with outreach, entry form vetting, jury management, and other responsibilities

Scheduling and other general administrative duties as assigned

Ability to lift / move boxes up to 25 pounds
- Availability for overtime and weekend work as assigned
What You’ll Need

2-3 years of relevant administrative experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Highly personable with a professional phone manner
- Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities

Ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to collaborate with other departments

Keen interest in conducting online research and analysis
- Technology savvy
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel
- Knowledge of Zoom, Adobe Creative Suite and/or video editing a plus

Proficient in utilizing various social media platforms (e.g. X, Facebook, Instagram) for research and engagement purposes
