Reporting to the AVP of Perioperative Services, the Nurse Manager Interventional Radiology will primarily oversee all operations of the IR team, including registered nurses, techs, and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Interventional Radiology include overseeing overall operational workflow, cross collaborating with other department Nurse Managers, developing quality performance improvement initiatives, and managing operational and fiscal budgets. Additionally, the Nurse Manager Interventional Radiology will be up to date on best practices so they’re able to lead by example and closely work with the nurse educator to develop educational curriculum and update processes, policy and procedures to meet the unit’s needs.
Ideally the Nurse Nurse Manager Interventional Radiology will have prior management experience and a procedural clinical background ideally within Interventional Radiology. The Nurse Manager Interventional Radiology should also hold their BSN and active RN license (either currently hold New York RN license or willing to obtain before determined start date).
