Effective for the 2024-2025 school year, a vacancy for a full- time Secondary Guidance Counselor currently exists within the Division of Career, Technical & Customized Education at the TCHS Brandywine Campus in Downingtown, PA.
Qualifications:
- PA Certification in Secondary Guidance required
- M.Ed in Secondary School Counseling preferred
- Experience and Knowledge in Career and Technical Education preferred
- Current police, child abuse, & FBI Fingerprint clearances required
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Counsel groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans
- Oversee student scheduling, report cards, transcripts and other school records
- Work in conjunction with parents and students in their search for higher education
- Collaborate with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students and seek community resources when necessary
- Conduct counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers
- Participate in Student Assistance Program (SAP). Respond to crisis situations when appropriate
Salary 2024-25 School Year:
- $56,355 to $87,396 – Instructional I Certification
- $58,814 to $90,897 - Instructional II Certification
- $62,567 to $99,261 - Master's Degree
- $65,284 to $103,169- Master's +15
- $66,706 to $105,039 - Masters + 30
Monday - Friday; 7.5 hours/day; 10 month position (194 days/year)
