POSITION
To provide therapy and counseling services to youth, young adults, and non-custodial parents, who have been impacted by childhood trauma, homelessness, or other life challenges resulting in a need for behavioral/mental health services. Position will require a variety of person centered, culturally sensitive treatment approaches to work with this diverse client population. Service goals include: providing effective behavioral health therapy to adolescent and youth clients to improve self-regulation and to prevent a higher level of care; coordination of treatment plan and client goals with Youth Services case manager; social and emotional stabilization.
SUPERVISOR: Mental Health Director
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● In partnership with the Chief Executive officer, Mental Health Director, and Youth Services staff, provide leadership in developing program goals, identifying, and implementing strategies for program growth and improvement, and continually monitoring program effectiveness to achieve best possible outcomes for those served.
● To engage with youth entering Youth Services through Child Welfare/Chafee referrals, Youth Access Center walk-ins, and Run-a-way and Homeless Youth.
● Participate in case management services which can include addressing youth’s housing stability, well-being, education, and employment goals identified by youth/family.
● Conducts differential examinations and diagnostic assessments to establish appropriate diagnosis and treatment plans.
● Works with client and their systems to identify treatment goals and objectives.
● Maintains professional licensure and certifications as required for the program.
● Maintains client charts/documentation according to the standards outlined in the record keeping procedures, administrative procedures, and quality assurance procedures of CASA of the 7th Judicial District.
● Attends staff meetings, in-service meetings and peer reviews, supervision sessions, and other meetings as requested/required.
● Collaborates with and refers to other appropriate service/supervision agencies within the community to coordinate client care plans.
● Works cooperatively and constructively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
● Responsible for compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws; professional practice acts and ethical guidelines; policies and procedures of CASA; and contractual guidelines.
● Responsible for supporting CASA Vision, Mission, Values and Beliefs.
● Other duties as identified by the Mental Health Director.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Education or Formal Training
· Graduate of an accredited Master’s Program (MSW or Master’s in Counseling Psychology) required.
· One year post graduate experience preferred. Student interns completing their graduate practicum hours may be considered.
· LPC, LCSW, or LMFT Licensure in the state of Colorado preferred. Licensure candidates will be provided with individual and group supervision hours through the organization.
· Training in conducting status examinations to establish relevant diagnosis and treatment plans.
Candidates must also pass a background check and employment verification. Drug testing may be required.
Supporting individuals with Lived Experience
- CASA has an awareness and understanding of childhood trauma and how it is connected to lived experience, and how trauma can be triggered in various ways. Organization leaders and staff members working closely with employees with Lived Experience shall receive ongoing professional development training on trauma and inclusion.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
