Description: Capital Women’s care is in search for a full-time Medical Biller to join a growing team at one of our OB/GYN offices providing support the Practice Manager and the rest of the Team. This individual will report to the Practice Manager and is responsible for coordinating, verifying, and managing all billable services. This position requires excellent communication and time management skills. Must be able to prioritize daily tasks and work well in a team environment. The candidate should have the ability to perform successfully in a fast-paced environment, meet tight processing deadlines, work well in a team environment, and be adaptable to change.

We are seeking an exceptional, highly motivated, skilled, and engaging professional to fill a Clinical Coding Liaison position in our busy and growing OB/GYN practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience within the medical billing, coding, revenue cycle management
- Perform posting charges and completion of claims to payers on time, prepare, review, and transmit claims using NextGen software
- Follow up on unpaid claims within a standard billing cycle timeframe
- Call insurance companies regarding any discrepancy
- Research and appeal denied claims
- Answer all patient or insurance telephone inquiries
- Makes sure that insurance is entered into system correctly before posting charges
- Processes accurate and timely medical charge entry
- Responsible for collection of delinquent patient accounts
- Follows-up on any incomplete/inaccurate charges and makes corrections as needed
- Researches edits and/or corrections needed for claims processing
- Communicates effectively with patients regarding balances if necessary
- Verifies that charges on the lab bills to the practice have been accurately charged to the patients’ insurance
- CPT and ICD10 Coding experience required
- Experienced with keeping a proactive approach to increase and expedite claim reimbursement
- Perform other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- OB/GYN medical office experience is required
- Knowledge of health insurance billing and processes
- Knowledge of CPT and ICD.10 OB/GYN codes

- NextGen experience a PLUS
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent from a college or technical school: or equivalent combination of education and experience equal to at least 5 years in a same or similar role.
