The Manager with direction from the Director, manages the planning of job schedules and coordinates with outside contractors, and assists with the resolution of issues. Solid knowledge and trouble-shooting skills with 1) Building Automation Systems. 2) Air/Water Balancing and 3) steam systems. Strong computer skills, can work under minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks. Previous experience in a Hospital or Facilities/Engineering maintenance background preferred.
- Manage and schedule staff in preventive maintenance tasks as well as plant operations project work.
- Complete staff pmp appraisals, payroll and performance management.
- The manager shall be familiar with the central plant and campus systems managed and ensures compliance with all Stamford Hospital policies and procedures. The manager will be responsible for maintaining department policies.
- Assists in preparing purchase requisitions, technical/justification memos accordingly and follows up to ensure they are processed timely
- Responsible for maintaining the inventory of all equipment/tools/supplies
- Oversees the processing of invoices and audit work to ensure minimal system downtime.
- Assigns work order tickets via CMMS for work order tracking and compliance.
- Create and maintain shift schedules ensuring that adequate coverage is in place.
- Maintain and supervise all HVAC, refrigeration and water systems within the campus.
- Supervise all compliance testing including air quality and water treatment.
- Maintain accurate documentation on boilers and related equipment to fulfill regulatory requirements. Assists in creating regulatory reports.
- Assists in the preparation of staff performance reviews. Discuss reviews with subordinates and identifies areas of improvement if any exist.
- Maintains an accepted parts inventory control to ensure efficient delivery of service. Obtains competitive bids/proposals.
- Perform appropriate inspections of Life Safety Systems per code and maintains accurate documentation on inspections and repairs.
- Coordinate and supervise contractors in plant infrastructure upgrades and repairs. Obtain pricing for related projects.
- Participates in project design and plan review for all campus renovations.
- The Plant Operations Manager responds to emergency situations (floods, fires, etc.)
Years of Exp: 5- 10 years exp related field with at least 3 years of supervisory.
