DIRECTOR OF ASSETS & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

The Director of Assets & Equipment Maintenance heads the company’s efforts to provide industry-leading compliant and safe fleets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Responsible for the standardization, implementation and execution of companywide maintenance programs and initiatives.
● Work closely with fleet managers to ensure equipment maintenance is occurring according to established procedures.
● Establish good customer relations & communication to asset owners regarding overall fleet health.
● Ensure state and national compliance with DOT regulations regarding maintenance.
● Reviews and analyzes metrics and data related to annual DOT requirements.
● Drafts and presents reports and proposals to executive leadership and senior staff on KPIs and continual improvement in DOT equipment compliance.
● Organize equipment schedules to regularly inspect & fulfill preventive maintenance intervals for entire fleet.
● Oversee/fulfill permits acquiring for over-size, over-weight, over-height & over-dimensional cargo and equipment.
● Develop maintenance programs for fleet equipment to ensure asset longevity & efficiency.
● Manage tracking system/ELD inventory.
● Track roadside inspections & repairs to ensure proper compliance & retention is met.
● Oversees/fulfills International Registration Plan (IRP) accounts for entire fleet.
● Ensure all equipment registrations and annual compliance requirements are met & fulfilled during the regulated periods.
● Ensure quarterly IFTA filings are completed during the regulated periods & equipment miles are tracked adequately.
● Stop operations and activities that could harm employees, contractors, equipment, the environment and/or the general public.
● Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
● Good working knowledge of FMCSA and DOT regulations
● Excellent process development and management skills with a high attention to detail.
● Highly developed leadership, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal and customer service skills.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
● Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency in all projects and an ability to prioritize and re-prioritize as necessary.
● Ability to multi-task projects and required tasks in an organized fashion.
● Ability to work in a team environment as well as self-motivated in individual projects.
● Ability to communicate both verbally and written to all levels of the organization.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
● Associate or bachelor’s degree (B.A.).
● 5+ years Motor Carrier Fleet Maintenance experience or related experience and/or training.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $185,000.00 per year
