The general salary range for this position is $77,000- $92,000. Salary offers will be commensurate with experience, qualifications, skills, training, and education.
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s most effective animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Program Manager, Training and Support for the Technology and Information Solutions department. In this position you will develop and implement a comprehensive training program that aligns with our mission and strategic goals. Responsible for identifying training needs, designing curriculum, and delivering engaging learning experiences to enhance employee skills, productivity, and job satisfaction. You will be responsible for:
- Responding to end-user questions by analyzing requests for support, testing and troubleshooting system issues, and working with colleagues and system representatives to find solutions;
- Creating, updating, and maintaining training materials library containing user manuals, best practices, and important system information for end-users and admins. Creating and publishing video tutorials and self-paced lessons for end-users;
- Collaborating with Project Managers to build out, own, and drive the training and support timeline for their projects;
- Providing customized in-person and remote training sessions to individuals and teams. Assisting with onboarding by providing as-needed training to new users. Offering demos and workshops to existing users and guiding staff on appropriate use of system functionality;
- Providing references to existing training and learning materials to staff who request generalized training and support;
- Maintaining knowledge of systems and stays current on upcoming enhancements to functionality;
- Collaborating with the Enterprise Solutions Engineer to understand any new system or changes to existing systems then formulate training and support plans as needed;
- Participating in meetings and discussions about data protection and security and provides support where needed;
- Performing other duties or responsibilities, as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer information systems or Instructional Design/Training, or equivalent work experience in a related field required;
- A minimum of five (5) years of related work experience required;
- Knowledge of instructional design principles;
- Experience in remote and in-person training;
- Experience with instructional design tools such as Articulate;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook);
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines; high energy, self-motivated and proactive;
- Ability to multitask and be flexible with regard to workload and assignments;
- Ability to exercise judgment;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Attention to detail and commitment to excellence demonstrated by the delivery of quality and timely outcomes;
- Ability to work both independently and as an effective team member in a team environment;
- Strong interest in animal protection issues preferred.
