Job Description Summary
The Director of Patient Care Services (DPCS) is responsible for the overall direction of hospice clinical services. The DPCS establishes, implements and evaluates goals and objectives for hospice services that meet and promote the standards of quality and contribute to the total organization and philosophy.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
- Oversees all hospice patient services.
- Provides guidance and counseling to coordinators and Clinical Supervisors to assist them in continually improving all aspects of hospice care services.
- Works alongside Clinical Supervisor to manage clinical teams and planning.
- Reviews patient referrals prior to admission.
- Oversees the maintenance of patient records, statistics, reports and records.
- Responsible for the maintenance of supplies and equipment.
- Plans and implements inservice and continuing education programs.
- Assures compliance with all local, state and federal laws regarding licensure and certification.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Administrator.
Qualifications
- RN license in California.
- 3 years of management experience within the last 5 years in a hospice.
- Compassionate leadership with emotional intelligence and excellellent communication skills.
- Ability to supervise and direct professional and administrative personnel.
- Has excellent observation, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of business management, governmental regulations and CHAP standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Hospice Director of Patient Care Services: 3 years (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Orange County, CA: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
