Airfield Estates is a family-owned and operated winery and vineyard in the Yakima Valley. We have been growing wine grapes for over five decades, crafting premium estate-grown wines for nearly twenty years, and operate three Tasting Rooms in Washington State.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated individual to join the Airfield Crew as the Manager of our Woodinville Tasting Room. This role is ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, sales, and wine who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring exceptional guest service and aligning with the business goals of our management team.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Engagement: Create a delightful and memorable tasting experience for each guest.
- Sales & Membership: Drive wine sales and promote our wine club, focusing on attracting and retaining members.
- Education & Promotion: Educate guests about our wide selection of wines. Inform them of upcoming events. Share the Airfield Story, touching on our estate vineyard, farming heritage, and WWII aviation connection.
- Inventory & Supply Management: Ensure accurate inventory, order and receive supplies, and maintain a tidy, organized tasting room.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and lead the Woodinville team to achieve high service standards, sales targets, and wine club goals.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee compliance with state and local laws, liquor regulations, and health codes.
- Communication: Serve as a liaison between the Woodinville Tasting Room and other locations/departments, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Promote a Positive Culture: Foster a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring a warm, friendly, and inviting environment for guests and team.
- Problem-Solve: Effectively resolve issues consistent with company values.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in managerial/supervisory roles, with a background in wine, sales, and hospitality.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team-building skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Open availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Technical: Basic knowledge of POS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently and stand/walk for long periods.
- Certifications: Must be at least 21 years of age, hold a MAST Class 12 permit, a Food Handler's Card, and a Valid Driver's License

Compensation: $22-$25 per hour + Tips (Average $10-$15/hour)
