Full- Time (35 hrs) $23.30-$24.25 hr
Summary of Duties:
The Manager of Production, under supervision, supports integrated, government and commercial production operations. Ensures cost effectiveness, compliance with regulatory requirements and establishes a professional relationship among production activities within agency departments.
Reporting Relationships:
The Manager of Production receives support and administrative supervision from the Vice President of Operations.
Responsibilities and Illustrative Duties:
1. Participates in overall production costing/award process, conducts MODAPTS time studies and maintains inventory control.
2. Responsible for reviewing, adjusting and confirming a new opportunity or existing production contract’s terms to ensure a quality work environment.
3. Onsite visits of production contract locations to ensure regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction and coworker interaction.
4. Ensures agency production processes, equipment and facilities are proactively inspected and comply with internal/external agency regulatory standards.
5. Participates in powered truck (forklift) operations.
6. Verifies workforce is current with agency and customer required trainings.
7. Initiates prevailing wage survey and calculates prevailing wage annually within timeframes established by DOL.
8. Maintains and ensures submittal of required documentation and reports for agency, customer and regulatory entities.
9. Attends required trainings, meetings and conferences.
10. Demonstrates a working knowledge and skillset of computer skills including, but not limited to Microsoft Office, internet-based software and apps.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates positive leadership skills over a diversified workforce among multiple locations. Proficient writing, verbal and computer skills. Knowledge of current government and commercial industrial standards and best practices. Working knowledge of DOL, OSHA, FDA, ASTM and regulatory entities in industrial and medical device manufacturing operations. Ability to provide reliable independent transportation.
Extraordinary Work Conditions:
Will be required to travel undetermined number of miles per month in performance of duties; some travel may be out of town. Operation of agency equipment and pickup/delivery of job materials shall be required periodically in performance of duties.
Qualifications:
Associates Degree PLUS two (2) years full-time paid experience.
OR
High School diploma PLUS five (5) years paid experience.
