Position Overview
As a Vice President, Personal Trust Administrator, you will represent Fiduciary Partners in our Brookfield Office administering a wide range of complex personal trust accounts, having significant contact with clients and their other professional advisors. Leadership opportunities will be possible with the continued growth of the organization. This position is ideal for an experienced, senior level Trust Officer with a strong background in Personal Trust Administration.
Key Accountabilities
- Representing Fiduciary Partners with professionalism and confidentiality while building strong partnerships with professional advisors
- Acting as the primary contact person for assigned trust relationships, including direct contact with clients and their professional advisors
- Possessing a strong knowledge of various estate planning strategies as well as background in trust administration including trust accounting, fiduciary income tax and prudent investor rule
- Handling a full range of trust administration activities, including
- Trust administration in accordance with the governing instrument, state law, and any regulatory requirements
- Analyzing trust documents, investment advisor agreements, understanding and applying internal policies and procedures, performing required account reviews
- Maintaining trust records, facilitating distributions to beneficiaries, coordinating with investment advisors and tax preparers
- Working closely with internal partners, including trust operations
- Establishing new trust relationships, including
- Assessing new business opportunities presented to Fiduciary Partners
- Gathering and reviewing trust asset information
- Understanding administration requirements and risks
- Assisting with companywide projects and committees as assigned
- Being alert to and encouraging opportunities to develop new trust relationships with clients and professional advisors
Along with significant Personal Trust Account Administration experience, an ideal candidate will excel in the following competencies:
- Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team of professionals to provide outstanding personal trust service
- Attentiveness to administrative details, documentation, and procedures
- Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate sometimes difficult concepts and consistently follow up with clients and industry partners
- Self-starter, highly motivated, needs minimal supervision
- Assertiveness, keen sense of responsibility and ownership
- A high level of technological proficiency, including but not limited to the Microsoft suite of software, CRMs, Trust Accounting Systems, and electronic filing systems
- Bachelor’s degree (in relevant field) or equivalent work experience is required
- Legal education or Juris Doctorate preferred

- Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
