Job Responsibilities:
· Respond promptly to both emergency and non-emergency calls, delivering medical assistance to patients at lower-tiered hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and designated events.
· Evaluate patients’ conditions and decide on the most suitable course of action.
· Dispense medications and conduct medical procedures, as required.
· Safely transport patients to medical facilities, delivering ongoing care throughout the journey.
· Record patient data, detail treatment administered, and note responses to treatment.
· Work closely with other healthcare practitioners to guarantee holistic patient care.
· Keep medical equipment and supplies well-maintained and sanitized.
Skills Required:
· Proficiency in venipuncture for IV placement.
· Exceptional patient care abilities, demonstrating compassion, empathy, and effective communication.
· Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) and proficiency in its operation and maintenance.
· Strong patient assessment skills to swiftly evaluate and prioritize medical needs.
· Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for the safe transport of patients.
· Comprehensive knowledge of human anatomy and physiology for precise assessment and treatment.
· Capability to engage in heavy lifting when necessary to aid patients or relocate equipment.
· Familiarity with medical terminology to facilitate effective communication with healthcare professionals.
· Proficiency in conducting physical examinations to gather crucial patient data.
· Experience in medication administration, including accurate dosage calculation and correct route of administration.
