Position Summary
The Director of Accounting and Finance will be responsible for oversight and quality control of all monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes as well as statutory financial reporting and tax policy compliance. This position is responsible for accurate and timely reporting. This position is also responsible for developing, maintaining, and enforcing finance policies and procedures. The Director of Accounting and Finance will manage provider network contracts, monthly and annual reconciliations with funders and develop and maintain financial plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance reports.
Essential Roles and Responsibilities
A. Financial Management
- Cash Management: Monitoring and balancing cash flows to meet obligations and optimize investments.
- Internal Controls: Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls and company policies and to safeguard company assets.
- Contract Management: Establish, renew, and monitor contracts with provider network.
- Budget: Assisting in the creating annual budgets.
- Invoices: Ensuring invoices are properly approved and coded in General Ledger.
- Audit Liaison: Coordination with external financial, compliance and tax auditors.
- Reporting: Collecting and consolidating financial data for monthly and annual close process.
- Council: Provide executive leadership with program status updates
B. Supervision and Support
- Direct, monitor and provide feedback to financial

- Ensure compliance with Texas Family Care Network Texas policies, procedures, and
- Collaborate and problem solve with peers in the finance organization to address issues and help drive effective and efficient decision making.
Essential Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Clearances. State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances; CPSL Mandated Reporter- Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse training per state regulation.
Working Conditions

Education Required
- Bachelors or better in Accounting or related field.
Experience Required
- Three to five years of accounting experience including analytical skills, planning, budgeting, financial reporting, general ledger, and statutory reporting experience.
