PRN Physical Therapist

Job Summary
The PRN Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and treating patients with physical impairments, disabilities, or pain. The therapist will develop and implement treatment plans to help patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. The therapist will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients' physical abilities, limitations, and impairments
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Use various techniques and modalities to help patients improve their mobility, reduce pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Document patient progress and treatment plans in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Provide education to patients and their families about their condition and treatment options
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities to stay current with best practices and new developments in the field
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
- Licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Texas
- Minimum of one year of experience as a physical therapist
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
Physical Demands
The PRN Physical Therapist must be able to lift and move patients and equipment, stand for extended periods of time, and perform repetitive motions. The therapist must also have good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity.
