We are seeking experienced, organized and dependable educators to join our team. Lead teachers responsibility will be to plan and implement an ongoing program of activities that promote the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of each child, in accordance with the school designated curriculum and philosophy of learning.
In this position, you will also be required to supervise teaching staff, track and report on students' progress, and ensure that classes remain safe and conducive to learning. To ensure success as a lead teacher, you should be compassionate and able to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate students' social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Encouraging self-expression through understanding, flexibility, and behavioral reinforcement.
- Tending to students' basic needs by feeding and dressing them.
- Mediating conflict between students.
- Modelling appropriate behaviors, even when not on duty.
- Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning at all times.
- Liaising with families to gain insight into students' home lives.
- Tracking and informing parents of students' progress.
- Attending parent and staff meetings
Qualifications:
- CDA, Associate, BS degree or certification in Early Childhood Education (nice to have)
- Valid state license or equivalent.
- Proven experience planning and developing curricula/lesson plans.
- 2 plus years prior experience teaching the age group.
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Able to attend conferences and other school events as needed.
- A keen interest in early childhood education.
