Requirements to Apply:
- Bilingual: English / Spanish
- Certifications: Registered Dental Assistant - RDA in CA - PREFERRED with Dental Assistant Certificate, X-Ray, Infection control, and BLS/CPR
- Education/Degrees: HS Diploma or GED and Dental Assistant Program graduate with proof of certificate of completion
- Years of experience: Minimum of 1 year experience as a Dental Assistant
The Registered Dental Assistant is responsible for assisting the dentist(s) in providing primary care services to patients at the clinic as well as for sterilization, preparation, and inventory control of dental instruments supplies. This position will function as a Float between Palmdale and Lancaster clinic.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday + 2 Saturday per month required
- When you are booked for a Saturday, you will have 1 weekday off instead
- You will typically receive your schedule 1 month in advance for your assigned floating locations
- Some variance to schedule may occur to support last minute call outs as well
Times: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Responsibilities:
- Focus will be on Dental Front Office, but will require float to Chairside Dental Assistant as needed.
- Prepares operation procedures for patient treatment as per Dental department protocols or directions.
- Completion of dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and law
- The Dental Assistant maintains a list of Dental Department patients, monitors patient flow, and assists the dental director, and dental hygienist in assuring that all patient records and documents are filed correctly.
- May be required to perform front office duties such as Scheduling, confirming appointments, verifying insurance, checking patients in and out, collecting co-pays, and managing balance due
