CADD Designer / Operator – Job Description
Main Overview:
Under direct supervision, operates, maintains, programs, and drafts using various commercially available and customized software to develop specific engineering related documents and drawings and other databases throughout the company system; and performs related duties as assigned. This position reports to CADD
Operator II
Responsibilities:
1. Perform CAD and related engineering services including but not limited to supporting permit and As-Built documentation for PCS & FiberTraktm service
2. Use and assist in enhancing operational and functional plans for PCS & FiberTraktm services
3. Interact with customers and other end users as they relate to PCS & FiberTraktm services
4. Attend Routine, Scheduled, Coordinated and Organized Client meetings to achieve contract plans / specifications for project completion and act as a general PCS liaison for related client communications
5. Attend in-house or Manufacturer based training to develop specific strengths for PCS and FiberTraktm services
6. General office activities for reporting, documenting, tracking, and forecasting for PCS & FiberTraktm services
7. Analyze, track & communicate CAD / GIS / Survey strategies to enhance PCS & FiberTraktm efforts
8. Support PCS Installation and technical staff with FiberTraktm services, systems, and operations
9. Any other tasks as directed by the President
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:
10. Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, regulations, rules and ordinances applicable to facilities maintenance including the Southern Building Code Congress (building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical) and building access for the disabled (ADA).
11. Knowledge of most trades related to building construction, maintenance and repairs.
12. Knowledge of the proper operation of building maintenance tools and equipment, preventative maintenance practices, occupational hazards and safety practices applicable to building maintenance operations.
13. Knowledge of customer service practices.
14. Ability to safely operate assigned vehicles, hand tools and equipment.
15. Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time.
16. Ability to read and follow blueprints and shop or engineering drawings.
17. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, vendors and the general public.
18. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $43.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
