Position Overview
A manufacturing company, considered one of leading manufactures of wire in North America, is looking for a Facilities Electrical Engineer. Encore Wire is looking for a candidate with a strong background in manufacturing and a desire to work in a TEAM environment with support and input from multiple angels that values safety above all else. This individual will need to have the ability to prioritize, schedule, and logistically support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines. This opportunity will require collaboration with the existing team to facilitate electrical design, construction and maintenance efforts.
Essential Job Functions
- Support a fast-paced manufacturing facility, by helping Maintenance & Operations solve problems and manage projects, from conception to completion.
- Manage/support small maintenance-related repair projects, major manufacturing equipment turn-key installations, and periodic plant expansions, including building construction.
- Estimate cost of work and develop proposals for new projects.
- Make technical decisions to meet project objectives and/or solve specific problems.
- Work closely with contractors of various disciplines as well as on-site maintenance personnel to achieve successful project completion.
- Conduct power studies to determine quality of power, capacity, and effects of adding additional equipment to existing facilities.
- Perform specific duties and responsibilities related to electrical engineering including evaluating electrical systems, products, components, applications & lighting.
- Own the medium voltage grid for the facility, including all equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
- Report directly to the Engineering Director
Minimum Qualifications:
- Electrical Engineering degree (Bachelor’s).
- 5+ years of experience in industrial electrical engineering & medium voltage power systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 & OSHA requirements, specifically 29 CFR 1910.302 – 335.
- Organizational and project management skills, along with effective communication skills.
- Experience reviewing specifications and developing mechanical or electrical layouts.
- Computing and software skills including AutoCAD & Microsoft Office.
- Has basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and repair procedures relating to facilities management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade Certification or state license in Electrical or Mechanical (HVAC).
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and life safety monitoring and control systems.
- Experience in the wire making manufacturing

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
