Description:
This is an immediate, full-time High-Frequency Electromagnetics Application Engineering and Project Leadership position. The successful candidate will be an experienced electrical engineer who can demonstrate high-level knowledge of electromagnetics and the ability to lead engineering projects.
This is a remote position located within the continental United States or Canada. Candidates available for on-site work in Durham, NC or Sunnyvale, CA are preferred.
This Electrical Engineer will perform physics-based simulations using Ansys software including HFSS and/or SIwave. Daily activities will include leading consulting services projects, providing technical support to customers, and creating demonstrations for customer engagement.
Candidates who possess an advanced degree in Electrical Engineering are preferred. Candidates with at least 5 years of experience are encouraged to apply. Compensation is dependent on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced-level Ansys technical support to customers during business hours
- Execute simulation consulting projects to return high-confidence results in a timely manner
- Manage simulation consulting projects with responsibilities to include responding to consulting inquiries, developing proposals, leading project status meetings, and mentoring engineers on the project.
- Present highly technical information to clients and public conferences
- Teach Ansys training classes
- Pass certification tests to confirm and improve industry knowledge
Requirements:
- Minimum MSEE or BSEE with 5+ years of work experience
- Familiarity with high-frequency engineering simulation tools such as Ansys HFSS or SIwave
- Experience with simulation of high-frequency applications such as RF/microwave components, antennas, signal and power integrity, or EMI/EMC
- Experience leading or managing projects
- US citizen or permanent resident
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organized, self-driven with outstanding interpersonal skills
- Have a passion for engineering and physics-based simulation
- Training will be provided and expected as part of job requirement
- Ability to quickly learn new engineering skills, concepts, and software
