The Warehouse Parts Stocker performs various warehouse-related duties such as receiving, packing/unpacking, stocking/restocking, loading/unloading, arranging, conducting inventory counts and labeling bins; operating lift trucks and trucks, reading schematic drawings, parts ordering, issuing parts, materials and supplies to mechanics, and performs general housekeeping of work areas and facility.
Essential Duties:
- Sort and organize parts and conduct itemized counts, update location/bin.
- Inspect incoming parts for the correct item, quantity, and potential damage.
- Unload, sort, and store parts in the proper location.
- Perform data entry in parts database and work orders.
- Operates a pallet jack, forklift, and lift-gate truck.
- Prepare shipping documents, and pack/palletize parts.
- Process packing slips, invoices, and warranty claims.
- Maintain a clean and safe warehouse/facility.
- Identify and issue parts, materials, and supplies to mechanics.
- Other: Accepts new responsibilities in a positive manner and performs other job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- High school equivalent or trade school.
Experience, knowledge, and skills required:
- Minimum 2 years experience in warehousing and ordering parts for automotive, motor coach, minibus, or heavy equipment.
- Computer literate and able to use inventory, ordering, and vehicle service software.
- Able to read schematics, drawings, and parts manuals.
- Able to travel interisland to maintain inventory at other island’s parts rooms.
- Possess interpersonal communication skills which include speaking clearly and communicating effectively.
- Ability to operate a forklift and obtain certification.
- Available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and occasional travel.
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to carry or lift objects that weigh up to 60 lbs.
- Must be dependable and punctual to work as scheduled.
