The Program Lead for our Associates Program is designed for an up-and-coming leader who wants to continue to see clients while also supporting new clinicians in meaningful ways. The Program Lead is a licensed clinical therapist (LCSW) and board-approved supervisor with systems training and a specialty client niche, looking for a long-term position on a collaborative team where they can also grow as a developing leader.
As a Program Lead, this position will clinically supervise Associates and provide supportive scaffolding through a curated program to grow competency, confidence, contributions, and collaboration. Their client services will include individual, community psychoeducation, and group therapy to serve adults and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and trauma. At our practice, LMFTs or systems-trained therapists also work with couples and relationships.
This position is for full-time (40-hours a week) employee status with an expected annual compensation range between $100,000 – $106,000, dependent on training, experience and kept sessions. We can begin onboarding upon hiring with anticipation of seeing clients and Associates within the following 1-3 months. We can also work with candidates who are transitioning from another life stage while simultaneously building a caseload with Second Growth for gradual entry and growth.
EMPLOYMENT DETAILS
Position: Program Lead for New Associates Program - Clinical Supervisor & Therapist
Credentials: OR Licensed Clinical Supervisor (with systems supervision training to supervise Associates on the LMFT, LPC & LCSW tracks) with active, practicing license as an Oregon LCSW.
Location: 3 options: Hybrid in-person & telehealth / In-person in PDX, inner SE and outer SE / Fully telehealth with availability to be on-site for team gatherings multiple times per year.
Status: Full-time, salary employee (Hours include clients, supervision, and program development = 40 hours per week)
Compensation: Expected annual compensation between $100,000 – $106,000, dependent on training, experience, and kept sessions.

Qualifications & Skills
- Enthusiastically align with Second Growth Counseling’s mission, vision, and values with a desire to embody this with client, colleagues, and the community.
- Master’s Degree in clinical counseling, mental health, marriage and family therapy, art therapy, expressive cultural therapy, or other clinical mental health area accepted for Oregon state licensure.
- Active, unrestricted license (LCSW) in the State of Oregon (must be fully licensed). Additional corresponding license in Washington state preferred.
- Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor for Oregon Associates, including those on the LMFT and LPC licensure tracks. Proof of 30-hr supervision training with systemic elements.
- 1-3 years post-licensure practice experience in providing full-time evidence-based and culturally-specific therapy. (experience after becoming fully licensed)
- 1-2+ years experience in clinical supervision of Associates. Can be as a supervisor candidate or when under supervision as a supervisor.
- Commitment to inclusion, intersectionality, and best practices from ACA Code of Ethics, WPATH Standards of Care, and ACA competencies including Multicultual & Social Justice, ALGBTIC, ASERVIC, and Advocacy to advance quality care with underserved populations.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check prior to seeing clients.
- Available to work 40-hours a week with the majority of hours during typical business operations. Hours include holding 20 kept client sessions per week. Can be telehealth or in-person.
- Fluent at the clinical level in the spoken and written English language with preference to those with second language fluency, also at the clinical level.
- Have at least one specialty/niche market for counseling services (i.e., grief, trauma, perinatal, etc.) with specialized training. Certification preferred.
- Preferred: Prior experience in either a community agency, healthcare facility, or group practice setting.

Duties & Responsibilities
CLINICAL
- Offer the best of your clinical training, expertise, wisdom and experience to the therapeutic journeys clients and clinicians entrust to you. Model and advocate for trauma-informed engagement, clear boundaries, and liberating treatment plans.
- Provide clinical supervision to meet and exceed board requirements for Associates through a posture of support that uplifts clinicians with professional development, skills training, productivity guidance, and burn out prevention.
- Perform clinical counseling services to clients of Second Growth Counseling, as scheduled, and in accordance with company policies.
- Provide timely authorizations, assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, progress notes, safety plans, and evaluations through therapy services. Give oversight on these tasks to Associates.
- Document at the standard that fulfills Medicaid guidelines and state statutes.
- Coordinate with a client’s care team as needed for collaboration of treatment, case management, crisis prevention, and multidisciplinary teamwork. (May include PCP, prescriber, family members, etc.)
- Provide referrals and community resources to clients as appropriate.
- Maintain professional, clinical, and ethical standards in accordance with ACA Code of Ethics, HIPAA, state law, insurance guidelines, and licensing requirements.
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Timely (same-day) documentation of written records for each client and service including, but not limited to: intake notes, assessments, diagnoses, progress notes, treatment plans, safety plans, termination notes, contact logs, and other forms or documents which may be needed or required from time-to-time by Second Growth Counseling or third parties.
- Attend weekly meetings with the leadership team for collaborative dialogue on the clinical team's strengths and growth areas to identify and collaborate on any potential clinical risks, training needs or resourcing.
- Develop and implement training material in fulfillment of the Associate Cohort Program.
- Regularly update client, caseload, and scheduling data for accurate collaboration, metric tracking, and practice operations.
- Practice mandatory reporting, HIPAA-compliant training and standards, update CAQH file, and renew licensing.
- Computer skills to operate as a completely digital practice within our Electronic Health Records system, integrated telehealth platform, and with secure communication strategies.
- Maintain client files accurately and up to date completely within the Electronic Health Records system.
- Manage and maintain a full caseload, schedule and coordinate care with clients and admin team, bill and collect payment according to policies and rates determined by Second Growth Counseling.
- Market and promote clinical services through social media posts, blog articles, speaking engagements, profile listings, or networking to grow a relational referral base and recognition in the community.
- Utilize phone, computer, fax, scanning, secure texting, and app technologies as appropriate to best practices for clinical care, customer services, and professional standards.
PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & DEVELOPMENT
- Examine and apply anti-oppression factors in clinical work.
- Exercise self-awareness, communication, and transparency with leadership at Second Growth to support self-of-the-therapist well-being and sustainability.
- Maintain licensure and abide by all laws, rules, regulations, and codes of ethics that are binding upon or applicable to the services performed for Second Growth Counseling.
- Demonstrate attendance and accuracy to job tasks, sessions, and gatherings with reliability, consistency, and intentional presence.
- Respond timely to team messages and clients’ referrals, messages, and care coordination.
- Attend, participate, and contribute to staff meetings and team trainings.
- Complete continued education as required to maintain licensure and supervision best practices.
- Regularly communicate with clinicians, staff, and leadership at Second Growth Counseling from a posture of collaboration, curiosity, and goodwill.
- Other duties as may be assigned to keep up with industry-regulated standards, practice procedures, and best practices for clinician and client care.
