GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Responsible for facilitation of patient billing and collection activities
authorized by worker's compensation carriers.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to the Rehab Front Office Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Prepare requests for treatment to be authorized by worker's compensation carriers, both
state and federal claims, via fax, email, and online.
2. Correspond with all worker's compensation adjusters and nurse case managers to ensure we
get a response and that it's in accordance to guidelines.
3. Prepare 1010A's and 1009's when necessary and justified.
4. Keep record of all new patient referrals, track patient visit compliance, track all requested
treatment sent out for approval, and all requested treatment that is denied.
5. Operate office equipment, such as:
Voice mail messaging systems, facsimiles, and scanners.
Navigate through Microsoft based programs, primarily Excel.
Other software application to prepare reports, invoices, financial statements, letters, case
histories, or medical records.
The job holder must demonstrate current competencies for job position.
