Job Summary:
For this position, the diesel mechanic must diagnose, and repair all areas of Trillium Farms equipment that runs through the repair shop. Equipment types include heavy trucks, trailers, medium duty and light duties vehicles. Trillium has many varieties of support equipment that is used and runs through the shop. Some of the equipment is portable air compressors, generators, forklifts, man lifts and many more. Including but not limited to: Freightliner, International, Ford, Chevrolet trucks. Engines are Detroit, Caterpillar, Cummins and other gasoline, diesel engines are common units; from no emissions, Non EGR and EGR to tier 4, along with electrical, differentials, brakes (air, hydraulic and electric), cooling systems, transmissions (manual and automatic), clutches, PTO systems, wet lines and air conditioning units.
5 days a week with some Saturdays on a rotation basis.

Essential Job Functions
- Perform all levels of preventive maintenance on truck, trailer, industrial and farm power equipment.
- Identify equipment of the repairs and keep logs up to date.
- Maintain work area appearance and safety.
- Road test or operate all equipment that needs repaired. When the units are completed to make sure they are ready to go before going back into the system.
- Be able to perform duties with little or no supervision in a timely and efficient manner.
- Specializing in trouble shooting, repairing of equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 plus years of mechanical maintenance experience.
- Specialized training and experience in diagnosis/ trouble shooting on major components a plus.
- Proficiency in all tools of the trade included in diagnostic equipment and welding.
- Basic computer skills with legible handwriting skills
- Be able to work in non-climate-controlled working conditions.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of this job.
- Current CDL class A is preferred.
- Must pass Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol screening along with a BMV background check that meets Trillium insurance requirements.
- Reefer unit training is a plus.
- Some fabricating will be required.
