Alignment with Learning: Ensures that the instructional material aligns with state standards, learning objectives, and clear assessments. Design of content is engaging and appropriate for online learning.

Learning Effectiveness: All content assesses the learning outcomes and knowledge presented to learners. Clear pre- and post assessments are appropriately included in the content to measure the learning outcomes of students.

Technology Resources: Monitors trends in technology resources for online learning environments. Explores and embeds appropriate technology resources to engage and motivate students with learning.

Communication & Managing Development Teams: Demonstrates effective communication skills to manage course development with subject matter experts and teachers supporting students in the online learning environment. Is flexible and clear with deadlines to meet course completion deadlines.

Crosswalking standards: Analyzes standards across multiple states and disciplines to identify consistent competencies that will be embedded in course design and development.

Education/Training
Degree: Bachelor's degree in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, or a related field. Master's degree in instructional design or curriculum and instruction is preferred.
Experience
3 years of related field experience; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge; skills and abilities. You are required to obtain and maintain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Grad Solutions is seeking an instructional designer that would apply expertise of instructional design and technology to analyze K-12 state standards, design curriculum content that is aligned with company vision and student population, and continue to evaluate instructional data and systems for curricular continuous improvement. The instructional designer will collaborate with subject matter experts in the first of education to develop an evidence-based curriculum that will serve a blended learning environment with an emphasis on the online learning platform.
The Key Performance Indicator (KPI) that measures the Instructional Designer’s efficacy and success is to design one content course to include developmentally appropriate instruction, materials, and assessments within 12-18 weeks. The successful instructional designer will oversee the development of 2-3 courses from start to finish within the 12-18 week timeline with 90% accuracy.
